Commitment: You will have to commit yourself to your blog is the starting phase of your blogging career. Spend time in writing content for your blog, read other reputed blogs that will help you keep you updated and you will also get new ideas to write for. Don't escape from your responsibility to devote time to your blog.

Being Practical and Realistic: There must have been something that would have inspired you to start blogging and the massive revenue involved in it would have been surely gone through your mind, but let me tell you something that anyone can earn money from blogging but very few make huge income with blogging and their income is in six figures for sure. The fact is those successful bloggers didn't reach that level overnight, they worked really hard to reach that level and spent hundreds of hours writing for their blogs. They didn't reach that level by chance or by luck what people like to call a successful person, he just got lucky.
It's time you set short term goals and try and achieve those goals and then slow and steady keep challenging yourself with slightly bigger goals to achieve and soon you will find yourself doing things you only dreamed of but if you think that you are going to make millions of bucks in a short period of time with little efforts only then might find yourself in trouble.

Keep Learning: Blogosphere is a vast world and if you think you know it all then that means you still got much more to learn. No matter how much you have already learnet about blogging and internet don't stop to learn new things because there is something new coming up everyday and to keep up with the world of high competetion you have to update yourself on the regular basis. It's also good for your blog writing, the more you learn and know, the better you will be able to write and provide some great quality content to your loyal visitors.

Publicize your Blog: Marketing of the blog is as important as writing for the blog. Increase the visibility of your blog by linking your blog with other reputed websites and blogs by committing on the posts of other blogs. Submit your blog to web directories and search engines. If you have a certain budget then you can also choose to advertise your blog with help of Google adwords or any other advertising program.

Thinking and researching: When you post an article on your blog don't post it blindly and just to fill up your blog as soon as possible. Do a little research on the topic you are going to write for, analyze the competition of the title and keywords and then choose your target keywords according to that. Make this as your habit before posting any content for your blog. This will help you choose best keywords for your blog and you will the amount of competition before writing it and you can make changes to your article title to get the best one with least competition on search engines.

Social Networking: Create your own network in blogosphere. Connect with other bloggers and share stuff with them. Never be shy to ask for help or help your fellow bloggers. Go get something you have give something in return. Ask for feedback about your blog and take note of all the comments they make on your blog and see it yourself later on if there is any scope of improvement in that particular area. Love it as you love your relatives, be honest with your work and to yourself. Don't try to escape from your work. There is nothing above than the passion to succeed, if you have the fire within to succeed in your job then there nothing stopping your and you will find your way no matter what may come your way.
